3 Best Anime FPS Games 2025
Japan the land of the rising sun is known far and wide worldwide for the multitude of games from action-packed platformers to heart-wrenching RPGs. But one genre that seems to have evaded the eastern developers is FPS. There is a general lack of FPS or FPS-style games coming from Japan. Or it would be more apt to say there is a lack of anime FPS games. Reasons for this vary, but the most prominent one is the lack of majority support in regions outside the West. But that isn’t to say there are no games whatsoever that utilize the anime aesthetic. The following ones are the best in this specific category.

To start the list we have one of the most out there but unique concepts for a game, doubly so considering it's an FPS game, which is known for its uniformity and universal design. It is none other than Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0, a game that truly encompasses the phrase trust the process. As the multiple aspects of the game in theory should not work alongside each other, but in the execution developers Dranya Studio seem to have struck gold. They manage to not only make the game work in its multiple different aspects but also manage to make it one of the most enjoyable FPS games on the market. That could also be related to the fact it has beautifully drawn and animated girls, fighting against extra-terrestrial aliens (or other players in PvP) with what are basically high-power water guns. Regardless it seems that the fans and players love it, so what's the harm? And if you want to join in on the fun head on over to the game's Steam page and buy it now, as it is a Steam exclusive.

Next, we have one of the most anticipated FPS games in the anime games category, as it is being developed by Challengers Games Corp. They also seem to be inspired by the developers of the infamous Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3 games. They have used similar marketing to line their game Second Wave in such a way that they appease not only the MOBA fans but also the vast fanbase of the previous game. They are accomplishing this by adding massive amounts of world-building and lore to the game to flesh out all the conflicts and characters. Gameplay-wise the game is amazing to provide a fast array of areas, characters, and modes for the player. Alongside this, the game is also set to host COD and Counter-Strike 2 level lobbies where players will be able to rank up and lay claim to the title of champion. So if you wish to preorder your game then head on over to either of the major platforms running from Windows, Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo.

Last on the list we have the most unorthodox FPS game ever. It merges the fast-paced action of first-person shooters with the massive replayability and playstyle of roguelikes with just a sprinkle of speed running added in just for fun. And it is that last sprinkle of speed running that has made this game such a sensation. Because it's not often a relatively new studio manages to merge unlikely genres and create a game that can pay homage to both genre's legacy. As for the story, the game features a simple story of humans repenting for their sins by participating in something that tantamounts to a blood sport to gods. Also, did I mention you will have to face people from your past, that you would rather have liked to be left behind? Well if you wish to see this unique narrative playout with some of the best fast-paced action, then head over to either of the major platforms such as Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo.
