Figure 1-1. Riverside Game Lab
Based in California, Riverside Game Lab is an eSport Arena hub where many annual game tournaments take place. For example, each year at Riverside Game Lab, a Festival of Fights eSport tournament is held with a nice cocktail of fighting games and other arcade competitions. Prizes are announced and awarded based on the number of participants.
Check game rules and prizing here. Depending on the number of players and audiences, the Festival of Fights is generally a multi-day event at Riverside Game Lab. Registrations usually start in the mid of the year and the event itself is officially started in the fall. In 2022, early registrations started in June and the event itself was held on the 29th and 30th of October, respectively.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the games that is played in this tournament. It is a 2018 super-hit 1V1 action-fighting video game developed by Arc System Works. The game features iconic characters from the infamous Dragon Ball franchise, such as Goku, Gohan, Frieza, and Vegeta.
DB FighterZ showcases some of the best artistically refined flashy gameplay visuals. Combined with the rocky soundtrack, fights in DB FighterZ quickly get out of control once pro players decide to give it all they have!

Michelob Ultra Arena is based in Las Vegas where annual eSport tournaments takes place. For instance, each year EVO eSport tournaments are held across different venues in Las Vegas. EVO 2022 took place in the Michelob Ultra Arena in Mandala Bay and hosted 9 iconic fighting games including Melty Blood: Type Lumina.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina is a 2021 action-fighting video game developed by French Bread. It is the fifth installment in the Melty Blood fighting game series.
The game features a character roster of 22 fighters, all unique and captivating in their own style. Melty Blood: Type Lumina delivers some of the best fighting game mechanics and immersive gameplay. The two new combat mechanics: Rapid Beat and New Moon System have taken Melty Blood fights to a whole new level.

Based in Florida, Daytona Beach Ocean Center is a multi-purpose facility that also welcomes yearly eSport tournaments. One such example is CEOtaku which is a side event of CEO Gaming and its sole purpose is on 2D anime fighting games. Since 2015, it has attracted many Japanese fighting game fans. CEOtaku is an annual eSport event that is held annually across different venues in Orlando or Daytona.
Its upcoming event will take place in June 2023 at Daytona Beach Ocean Centre. Several side events, such as Cosplay Content, are also held besides game tournaments. Check CEOtaku rules and regulations here. Among the fighting games that are played, the Guilty Gear series holds a prominent position. Its latest entry, Guilty Gear Strive was played at CEOtaku 2022 event.

Developed by Arc System Works, Guilty Gear Strive is a 2021 1V1 state-of-the-art fighting video game. Originally started with 15, its soaring popularity led developers to add more characters to the game. As of now, there are 22 characters in the game.
Guilty Gear Strive makes use of unique battle mechanics such as Roman Cancel, Overdrive, Psyche Burst, and Wall Break. Once the fighting starts, there is no stopping it unless one of the players is utterly and completely destroyed to the core!
