While you could use skill freeze shot to disable the sword skills temporally and stops the cooldown from recharging, however I found some skill that can help during combat:

• Scatter Wheel

You jump within the air while doing a spin attack, if preformed at the right time you might be able to avoid:

• Vorpal Strike (If target is distant from you)
• Sharp Nail (As long as they don't jump and use the skill)
• (Currently have NOT been tested against Cyclone sword skill or Divine Blossom)

I am currently unsure if you can avoid Horizonal Square, as I kept getting hit the very edge of it

• Characters that use Scatter Wheel:

• Klein [TDM only]
• Itsuki [TDM & FFA]
• LLENN [TDM & FFA]
• Lievre [TDM & FFA]

• Shield Matrix

You provide shield bubble, during the skill usage you cannot take damage and regain some health, depending on the skill level you can do an explosive at the end (not recommended as you are left vulnerable during the time) While this skill can avoid any skills and the sword weapon art/ult. It's requires timing and when the best time to use it when they use a certain sword skill

• Yuuki [TDM only]
• Silica [TDM & FFA]
• Klein [TDM & FFA]
• Argo [TDM & FFA]
• Kureha [TDM & FFA]
• Dyne (DLC Character) [TDM & FFA]

• How to hit a sword players while Sword Barrier is active:

The only way for you to hit a sword player that is using Sword Barrier is:*       1. Gunslinger (This still hits the player even with sword barrier is active)       2.

Great Information, I usually just shot using machine gun on enemy with sword barriers. But with this information, I need to change my strategy against them. Thank you very much!

I thought sword barrier could block bullets from back side.

So, Scatter Wheel won't avoid all incoming damages while casting, but only avoid those skills? (vorpal, sharp nails, etc)

Also for side notes, when doing an explosive at the end, you will have to watch carefully if that enemy is a sword player. Some sword skills provides immune to all incoming attack for very short moment while casting, so that they will hit you with a sword skill while evading your explosion.

I tried avoiding Horizonal Square with the Scatter Wheel but somehow I got hit by the skill even though I was out of the range. Also as long as they dont jump and use Sharp Nail you should be able to evade the attack (level 2-4 allows you to use sharp nail in the air)
