Best singleplayer-only anime games, excluding Visual Novels:
Scarlet Nexus
Persona 5
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone

This document introduces anime games in which their graphics are in 100% anime art. Games such as Tera, Final Fantasy Online, and Blade & Soul are excluded because having a couple of anime looking races such as Elin and Lyn in a game should not mean that entire game is an anime game. This is important to note that here we focus on anime games, not a video game with some anime characters. Additionally, anime games here are ranked by votes of real (anime) gamers, and who voted for which game can be viewed through the Show Results button above. Plus, we provide reviews of why they voted their choices as their best anime games of all time below as replies. You can check replies below this post and go through reading them. Therefore, this ranking guarantees 100% transparency.

Beside anime game graphics, we also focus on following factors that determine the most parts of anime game quality: combat system, diversity (classes, skills, equipments, heroes, items, game modes, maps, cards, etc), update, and character customization. If anime games has multiplayer, then we also consider its multiplayer population because you don't want to waste money for dead games. Along with these factors, we think that most players can play anime games quite long. Thus the game is worth its price since you can play for a very long time. Then general factors such as graphic, music, and etc follow. Please make sure that we introduce only 100 best anime games of all time ranked by gamers, we will keep replacing new anime games with existing anime games with lowest score and see if new one ranks up for a long time. Whenever replacing happens, we will notify here. Also, if there is any new anime games to be added, they will start from the median score and this initial score will be removed after 6 months, because if they appear at the bottom with 0 score then it really makes them hard to rank up, so we think they should start with median score.

If you register on the website, you can vote your favorite anime games above as many as you want! Plus, you can always unvote and revote again, for example, when your favorite anime games are changed as time goes by.

Below, we introduce 5 best anime games of all time voted by October 1st, 2021. This list will be updated whenever there is a change in top 5 anime game ranking above:

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet (FB) [Image: rounded_pro_league_logo.png]

SAO:FB ranks the top position among SAO game series and has the most multiplayer population (as of March 2021). It is also ranked at the top position in best anime games of all time (as of March 2021). The game is basically like StarWars, provided by laser lightsabers and futuristic gun battles. The game supports singleplayer, co-op, and pvp modes, and is also an eSports game being held as a pro league in this AEG community. It's like a third person FPS game, but it's actually not a full third person FPS game as it offers an automatic aiming mode. This means your performance will actually depend more on how you behave well per each actions you make rather than your capability of how much you are accurate at aiming your fire since it already provides auto-aim mode. Also, game provides RPG aspects: you can level up, farm items, gear yourself up, upgrade and so on. In addition, there are many fan services such as building close relationships with game characters and talking together in a bed.

There is a way you can play this game for free on PS4 and XBOX, only if you are thinking of playing this game for mainly PvP like you play Overwatch, Fortnite, etc. Download trial version of the game, and you can access to hero PvP arena with 10 characters available. This game is fairly balanced between characters so there will be almost no problem although you can't access to other characters. Persoanlly I haven't seen any gamers who play very decent in more than 3-5 characters for this game, including those who participate in AEG Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Pro league. Thus, 10 characters available should be enough for free tier players. I am not sure about PvP population of Xbox for this game, but on PlayStation its PvE and PvP population are both pretty good. You will be able to play the game for a very long time with its free tier contents like the way you play Fortnite, Overwatch. But, if you are not PvP person, we recommend you get its complete edition and play PvE and Co-op with others!

Features:
  • You can play this game for free if you like competitive gaming and own PS4 or XBOX.
  • Lots of fans who actively participate in AEG Pro League
  • Getting full multiplayer rooms most of times during AEG Pro League
  • Generally has good multiplayer population during the evening time of NA region
  • Has inviting friends feature
  • Has amazing character customization system
  • You can play with Japanese players! Region is not locked
  • Has co-op

Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is anime MMORPG. The game is completely open world and designed to deliver the best PvE experiences, which is the phrase its developer said, along with co-op. This means, there is no PvP. Genshin Impact is currently talking top spots among whole PlayStation game sales as of February, 2021. This means this is currently the most popular anime games on PS4 (actually it is currently the most popular anime game on whole gaming platform including PC, not only PS4). The game currently has the best graphic quality among all free anime games. The game has great character customization system. And it comes with a gacha model like usual MMORPGs. Thus, you will go deeper in grinding. It is a great game that appeared like a comet in 2020, surpassing the rankings of all anime games in the viewer count of Twitch very quickly, and suddenly became the number one among anime games.

Features:
  • Generally has good multiplayer population during anytime
  • Has inviting friends feature
  • Has co-op
  • A game got an any meaningful update (balance, new contents, everything except cosmetic) in last one year

Kandagawa Jet Girls[Image: rounded_pro_league_logo.png]

Kandagawa Jet Girls is a racing game created by Producer Takaki Kenichiro, famous for Senran Kagura. The game is not well known because the animation, which is the original game, was not successful, but there are still quite a few users who play it without knowing it because it is actually quite fun to play. In the AEG community, along with Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, Kandagawa Jet Girls has also been playing a pro league for over a year, so it is a game that guarantees a lot of fun in multiplayer.

Features:
  • Lots of fans who actively participate in AEG Pro League
  • Has PvP leaderboard
  • Able to play multiplayer by making friends through Recruitment forum in this website
  • Has inviting friends feature
  • Has co-op
  • Has amazing character customization system
  • Has gotten some number of posts made about the game in this website

Super Mecha Champions

Super Mecha Champions is the world's first anime battle royale game. Usually, anime games are made by a niche video game company with a low budget, but this is a game that seems to have cost a lot more than we think. As of October 2021, it has the largest PvP population among all anime PvP games. The graphics are average, but it boasts excellent quality in everything such as scene expression and music.

Features:
  • Generally has good multiplayer population during anytime
  • Has inviting friends feature
  • Has seasonal PvP leaderboard
  • Has spectator mode
  • Has good character customization system
  • A game got an any meaningful update (balance, new contents, everything except cosmetic) in last one year

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash (PBS) [Image: rounded_pro_league_logo.png]

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash is a third person FPS game. It provides a variety of weapons such as Rocket Launcher, Assault Tripple, Sniper, etc, and there is an additional card system, they buff you or nerf the enemy, etc. There are many different attack and support cards that you will need to collect. Games include story mode, co-op, PvP. In multiplayer, up to 10 players are supported. Personally, I think this game is the anime game with the most fan service among all anime games.

Features:
  • Able to play multiplayer by making friends through Recruitment forum in this website
  • Has amazing character customization system
  • Has gotten some number of posts made about the game in this website
  • Has PvP leaderboard
  • Has co-op

I personally gave my vote to Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash. The reason is because I liked its combat style the most among the games listed here. Plus in-game diversity is quite huge, probably the top among anime games I played in terms of diversity, and it provides many game modes and maps. I played more than 4000 Ranked PvP matches in PBS and that proves how much I liked PBS. And yes, my next favorite game is Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist Tongue

Better response on post RE: Best Anime Games 2020In all honesty i beleive Sword Art Online:Fatal Bullet is the best anime game it takes what you love from online mmorpgs and make them better they have massive character coustimization in both appearance and stats each stat does multiple things for your character and the accessories that you equip not only help how you look but gives you extra stats/buffs and the ability to save your sets allow you to make and experiment with so many builds and set ups but the character creation isnt the only good thing about this game the next thing is the longevity i have played this game for almost 1800 hours and i have yet to do every thing i did all the offline quest and dungeons but there are still online dungeons that i havent done and there are 4 weapons i dont have and the best part about this longevity is that dispite how repetitive it can be at times it dosent feel like it your still having fun playing except for geting thoses last 4 weapons thats the only thing i have to complain about for this game the low drop rates of these last 4 weapons and if the only thing i have to complain about the then you know it has to be good but while we are on the topic of weapons i should tell you about the shear number of weapons and skills that are in this game that help add to your choices here are the weapon types "handgun, shotgun, sub machinegun, assualt riffles, grenade and rocket launchers, gattling guns, swords, and sniper riffles"and there are 11 ranks of weapons 1 being the weakest 11 being the strongest there are many weapons in each weapon rank some being remodeled versions of lower teir ones but most are unique there are also diffrent raritys of weapons and accessories "common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary" the rarity determines how many chips that weapon or accessories can hold chips are the buffs that are carried on them for weapons its often buffs to the weapons stats while accessories are buffs to the character you can upgrade these chips to increases there buffs and when it comes to weapons you can swamp them around now lets move on to skills which there are a lot as well skills fall under diffrent roles "tank, support, engineer, destroyer, sniper, and assault" you can use 4 skills on each weapon which you can have 2 of at a time you can equip any skill you want as long as you have the stats for it and you can upgrade skills if you use it enough your role is determined by what skills you chose if you have more skills that fall under one role than others than that will be your role for example if 3 out of 8 if your skills are tank skills and the other 5 are lets say 2 support 2 destroyer and a single engineer skill your role will be tank there many skills to play around with and upgrade all this just is some of the game play offered i havent even touched on the diffrent game modes the diffrent types of pvp avalible and the coop and if  sat here to type out every thing  i would miss the deadline so ill just say this this game is with out a doubt a absolute masterpiece pulling the best part of so many diffrent rpg sub generes and if you want to play a awsome game well you got one right here

New thread - A list of Strategies that use Wickline Cunningly - UPDATING in forum Eternal Return Guide.
(8 hours ago)Jotaku Wrote:  1. Attack the enemy team that is chasing Wickline. This tactic is even better if the enemy team has already attacked the Wickline. If you look at the video below, it is a case of winning the team battle by catching the enemy attacking the Wickline and chasing after it, even though the team has a much better level, weapon level, and item than us.

I used to read Naruto manga about 20 years ago for several months...and stopped ;_;
But I heard Naruto is still the best manga in terms of selling books. In terms of anime games, yeah Naruto has probably lots of Twitch viewers (Shinobi Striker) and Bandai Namco do make frequent updates on Naruto games!

Guess I will start reading it again!

New thread - What should I focus on between animal killing vs PvP? in forum Eternal Return Guide.
(05-17-2022, 04:06 AM)Jotaku Wrote:  Answer:
Focus on animals whenever possible if you don't have to PvP

Following video demonstrate why PvE is more important than PvP in this PvP game.

Check how the team with only 1 kill and 0 kill play like from the start to end, and also check how they beat dominating team which had 7 times more kills than them.

Otherwise, you will need to invite random people a lot in many different servers, but this process may make your server destroyed if reported lol. If you don't do either one of random people invitation or paid advertisement, then the size of the discord server will always be small since there are also people who leave the server and guess what? Server never grow at some point. So I wouldn't run for now as we have no revenue on the website. If we can make some revenue then yeah, next thing I would focus on is running a discord server and create some Discord bots for improving the life of anime games. However. we already spend our max on running website server and giveaways....

I don't understand this part quite well. What do you mean by "some more popular games"?

We do grow, but very slowly.
I'm releasing it because people here will be curious about it.

This is a comparison between total number of users (who basically visited the website) from "2021 April ~ 2022 April" vs "2020 Mar ~ 2021 Mar".

So as you see the graph, there is approximately 38.64% increase in the number of visiting people for last one year.
But please make sure that this is very small increase. We do grow, but very very slowly.

In terms of how people find this website, that is mostly by Google search.
