Why You Should Play Omega Strikers as AMERICA Anime Fan

#1
I have been playing Omega Strikers for a few days, and it is actually quite enjoyable.
Omega Strikers is a competitive online game created by adding combat elements to the ice hockey game, such as actually hitting enemies with punches and feet. Playing this game reminds me of the Nekketsu Kunio Hockey game on Famicom I played a very long time ago.

Graphic
Since it is a game made in the Western, and from my point of view who has played anime games since age of around 6 from Famicom, about 20% of the graphics show cartoon-aspect of the graphics, but I think about 80% of the graphics in this game are anime graphics. Well, I do think it lacks a somewhat MOE feeling compared to the many anime graphics made in the East, however, it is still very much close to anime graphic if we had to compare it to things like Disney Frozen or Super Mario. Additionally, the absence of this attribute doesn't mean it's not an anime game, nor is it a bad anime game. Rather, it has its own unique anime style combined with a little bit of cartoon style.

To conclude it, it's already tagged as anime on its Steam store page anyways (Unfortunately, Gundam Evolution, made in Japan, suffered the disgrace of not getting an anime tag. However, this is similar to a case like that Fortnite game cannot become an anime game even though there was a Fortnite anime).

It does not require high-end computer specifications. It seems to be playable on laptops with decent Intel graphics.

Gameplay (Mechanic)
Because it follows the structure of the ice hockey game, the game progresses very quickly due to its nature. The game ostensibly provides a build system (called Training in the game), but from what I've seen it doesn't seem to have much effect. As it is literally a sports game combined with combats, improvement in reaction speed and action skill/instinct is more necessary. In particular, it seems to need the ability to predict where the hockey puck (called the core in the game) will arrive and prepare in advance. My guess is that the build will account for about 10% of the win, and the gamer's instinctive action skills will account for about 90%. Of course, since the game allows premade parties to go against solo queue (yolo) players, win streak seems to be possible so that finding skilled players very well rather than increasing individual skills seems to be a bigger factor of victory.

Basically, it is a 3vs3 game, and for reference, one is randomly selected as the goalkeeper. If you do not want to be a goalkeeper, you can go out and fight, but it is not recommended.

I said that I can do battles such as hitting. Yes, literally when your enemy hits you and your HP goes to 0, then your character disappears for a while, so it can be like 2 vs 3 or 1 vs 3 situations. And to increase that fighting ability, you can focus more on manipulating the build and actually hitting it when you play it. However, if you focus only on hitting too much, you will very likely lose.

Sound
I didn't have a song that I personally liked in this game, but I still think it fits very well with the graphics and game.

Conclusion
Honestly, I like games with more complex structures and depth in terms of logical parts. The build part is currently too simple and it doesn't look like the game has much depth yet to me. However, for now I think it might be a perfect game for gamers who enjoy quick action instincts and senses. The game is still only in open beta, thus there is still a lot of time and chances for this game to grow.

More importantly...

(According to Project Anime, anime globalization is perhaps coming)

Actually, what I'm paying more attention to may be a slightly different factor. What's surprising to me is that the corporation that made this game is in the Western country, not in Japan, the origin of the anime, nor similar Asian countries like Taiwan and Korea. Therefore, I feel this game may be a valuable game that shows the craze that anime and anime games related trends are spreading around the world, globally. Yes! And I hope more anime trends come globally. It should be everywhere.

To conclude in one sentence, I think it’s the perfect game for those who enjoy ice hockey, watching anime and playing video games! Enjoy the competitive anime game, GG!
