I got a random question about "is Pokemon an anime" on Google.
To answer it, I do think Pokemon is anime that targets kids but still anime. Why not?
How do you define anime? From my perspective, it is an art design that depicts human being in another way in terms of appearances, usually aims for a huge jewel-like eye and a minimum nose size and kawaii (cute).
Is anime only Japanese' art design? If you ask, my answer is "No."
Already, many Westerners are also engaged in artistic activities related to anime. There are actually many anime games and videos created by Westerners (but mostly related to adult content).
