As of Oct 2023, still there is no announcement about Eternal Return PS5 or PS4 release, thus, there is no Eternal Return PS5 Release Date.

We hope Eternal Return PS5 will happen, but this game adopts an orthographic camera method, so you may think it is difficult to play it without a mouse. However, if you look at various cases such as Hundred Swords released by SEGA for DreamCast platform, StarCraft 64 released for Nintendo 64 platform, and Diablo 3 released for PS4, I think it can be overcome to some extent.

Personally I have Steam Deck and play Onmyoji Arena through BlueStack emulator, which has very similar Camera and UI to Eternal Return, and it works very very well, even better than playing on Smartphone. I don't think making Eternal Return PS5 port wouldn't occur many problems in a gameplay-wise.

And also my another expectation is that, if Eternal Return ever releases on PS4 or PS5, I think it should release physical form of the game as a name of Collector's Edition something like the following (of course free-to-play digital version of the game should also be available):




1. All characters released by the release date of collector's edition are available.
2. 1~2 figures of popular characters
3. Official manual, art book, music disc, etc.
4. Price probably between 250~350 USD

I am pretty sure if it includes some figurine of some characters it will make triple sales. lol this is generally how anime games can make a profit from fans in the anime game industry

Eternal Return is one of great anime-styled game and probably the most populated esports anime game that involves no pay-to-win and no auto hunting mode thing like many mobile games, with a RTS-type camera view that has never existed in anime game history/industry yet, or existed in very small numbers. It would be really good to see Eternal Return in consoles because most anime fans play anime-styled game or anime games on consoles, especially much more than PC.
