3 Best MOBA Games with Esports Prize Pool 2025

MOBA games aren’t called “massively” online battle arena without any reason. This genre of video games pits you against several other players, where you have to fight your way to remain the last man standing. You have to use everything at your disposal to ensure your victory or else be gone with the others. For the same reason, MOBA games are very popular among gamers all around the world. And since they are not demanding, you can play these games even on your potato PCs.

Eternal Return

First up, topping our charts, is the infamous MOBA game, the Eternal Return, by Nimble Neuron that was finally released in 2023 on PC after a good long early access period of three years.

Though a classic MOBA game, there is a slight twist to Eternal Return. Where other MOBA games lay heavy emphasis on action gameplay, Eternal Return also brings in the concept of crafting gameplay. You not only need to fight your way to the top but also craft items out of raw materials lying on the ground.

And as if fighting against other players was not enough, Eternal Return has you fighting with ferocious animals as well.
The survival-crafting MOBA game has a wide roster of 83 playable characters and also hosts regular tournaments. One such recent example is the Season 3 Phase 1 of Eternal Return Masters. It was held in April 2024 and featured a $3400 prize pool.

Pokémon Unite

Next on our list is Pokémon Unite by TiMi Studio Group, another MOBA game that we have on our list but is especially for our handheld console and mobile gamers on Switch, Android, and iOS platforms.

Pokémons need no introduction. The franchise is decades old and every one of us has fond Pokémon memories. A total of 10 players dive into a match. However, they are in 2 teams and fight for a duration of 10 minutes. Every player starts with their own Pokémon that continue to evolve and grow throughout the game.

The ultimate goal is to have more points than your opponent by the time the match ends. This is done by collecting and depositing Aeos energy into your opponent’s goal.

Unlike Eternal Return, which is more on the darker side, Pokémon Unite is fun and bright. It is especially popular among young players, and regular tournaments are frequently held. For instance, the Pokémon Unite Champion Series 2024 featured a whopping $500,000 prize pool!

Omega Strikers

Lastly, we have Omega Strikers by Odyssey Interactive. It is a 2022 sports-based MOBA game that is available to play on a wide number of platforms, including Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and even Nintendo Switch.

Unlike ER, which is limited to Windows, and Pokémon Unite, which is limited to mobile platforms, Omega Strikers supports cross-platform play. While the official description says it is more like a footbrawl (or football as we call it), it is really a more hockey-style game.

The character roster is ever-growing and, as of writing, there are currently 18 distinct characters, with each having unique powers and weaknesses. The good part about it is that all the characters can be unlocked through normal play. No need to pay. 
Like other games on this list, Omega Strikers is popular and holds frequent tournaments. One such recently held tournament is the North American Strikers League. It’s Season 5 ran from November 2024 to February 2025.
