The Future of VR Gaming? But 1 Clear Disadvantage still remains...

VR (Virtual Reality) technology is poised to revolutionize the gaming industry, completely transforming our gaming experiences. Firstly, VR games with genres such as FPS (First-Person Shooter) and 3D fighting games offer an unparalleled level of excitement compared to traditional gaming. Playing in VR allows us to immerse ourselves in the game, physically move as if we were the character, and shoot or punch with real-life actions. This immersive experience elevates the joy of game participation huge.

However, when it comes to games like RTS (Real-Time Strategy) that require a holistic view of the gameplay, VR gaming falls short. Finding an effective solution for these types of games is crucial.

One possible solution is to combine VR with the traditional keyboard and mouse input method. Users can wear the VR headset and explore the game world while making strategic decisions using a keyboard and mouse. This approach allows players to leverage VR for an overall view while providing better maneuverability.

Another solution is to develop dedicated controllers or interfaces specifically designed for VR. These controllers would accurately detect hand movements and provide suitable controls for RTS games. For example, utilizing finger gestures or hand movements, players could select units and issue commands. Additionally, by integrating voice recognition technology, players could give strategic instructions to units through voice commands. Overall, player However, the methods introduced here are still too weak solutio to say that it can be responsible for the future of the VR game world in RTS genre.

While VR gaming undeniably excels in certain genres, overcoming the limitations of VR for games that require a broader perspective like RTS genre usually requires is essential. By combining traditional input methods, developing specialized VR controllers, and integrating voice recognition technology, we can bridge the gap and unlock the full potential of VR gaming for a wider range of game genres. Therefore, one of the my idea is to provide the UI strictly designed for the device that a general-of-the-army would use, and required functionalities that allow users to play like a captain/admiral/general, leading an army division, ships, etc. (like making entire train simulator arcade shown in the video below in the VR game. So one clear advantage is that VR game developer doesn't have to manufacture such physical hardware to play a train game, but implement in their VR game) However, this is still far from enough, and no one knows the true working solutions. With continuous advancements in technology, the future of VR gaming may holds immense possibilities for both developers and players alike.

That is, this single train and a single player who operates this single train are still bounded to single player and a single object (train). What we need to truly solve is being able to provide immersive experience in VR when it comes to a single player running multiple objects (trains), which is real RTS.
