Kokaku attribute called "block attack strength", does anyone know what it does exactly?

Increases how much hits you can take before your block attack breaks
Might be able to stand firm from one charge attack (but im currentlty unsure)

Was there maximum damage I can protect myself per each guard? I thought it was infinite as long as I keep pressing guard button. Thanks anyways!
