3 Best FPS Games Low-End PC 2024

Where other gaming genres might prove somewhat difficult for players to understand, first-person shooter game mechanics come naturally to a man. Let’s be honest, who hasn’t among us played with gun toys back in childhood days?!

First-person shooter games, or FPS games for short, employ not-so-different mechanics than traditional plays with gun toys. As such, these games have a natural way of seamlessly integrating themselves with a player’s ability to grasp command over in-game controls, without requiring many tutorials.

In this article, we will look at such 3 best FPS games for low-end PCs in 2024!

Table of Contents
  1. Second Wave
  2. Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0
  3. Project Mollicutes

Second Wave

By saying the best FPS games for low-end PCs, one might mistakenly believe that we are going to suggest decade-old gaming titles. That is not so. And to prove our point, topping our charts list is no other than Second Wave! As of writing, Second Wave is an upcoming FPS game by Challengers Games Corp.

This upcoming FPS game boasts a unique blend of MOBA-styled strategic gameplay and first-person shooter’s thrilling action. In that, the game puts at players’ disposal a wide variety of character classes, each suited for a particular in-game role. These are tanks, warriors, rangers, mages, assassins, and supports to name a few.

While you can already find character names on the official website, each character’s in-game role is not yet specified. Also, in addition to first-person view support, the game also incorporates support for third-person view as well.

What’s more? Second Wave is a completely FREE-TO-PLAY game! Yes, you don’t have to spend a penny to get your hands on this highly anticipated FPS game. To put the cherry on top, Second Wave is not a Pay-To-Win game; as the devs only employ a cosmetic-based business model in the game.

Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0

In case Second Wave hyped you up and you just can’t wait for the game to release, we have good news for you. Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0 is yet another best FPS game for low PCs that you can play right now! Developed by Dranya Studio in 2023, this FPS game is currently available to play on Windows via Steam.

In terms of gameplay mechanics, Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0 is everything that Second Wave is, except for one cool twist! Where regular FPS games show blood damage when you hit or are hit by opponents, Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0 shows water. In fact, you even fire water in the game!

Now, this feature makes this game stand out for every gamer, be it kids or players sensitive to gore elements in games. Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0 is your very next arena water shooter game which features an entire anime girls cast supplemented by equally charming mech robots.

Just like Second Wave above, Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0 also employs a skin customization business model in the game. It is in no way a Pay-To-Win game.

Trianga's Project: Battle Splash 2.0 features a lot of gameplay modes for players to take part in, such as Survival Mode and Online PvP. Each in-game character has unique abilities and you can also customize weapon behavior in real-time by picking up add-ons during matches.

Project Mollicutes

While we have talked about popular FPS games above, let us now give a bit of shoutout to indie developers who give their all to make video games. Project Mollicutes is another best FPS game for low-end PCs. It was developed by an indie studio that goes by the name “Good End Games” in 2022. You can currently download and play this game on itch.io.

Being an indie game, Project Mollicutes does not have any specific story or game plot to deliver. Much of it is derived from playing the game itself. The game is set in an apocalyptic world where red-colored ball-shaped infected spheres act like a spawn point for zombies.

In Project Mollicutes, you have to destroy these red spheres in order to put an end to this apocalyptic crisis all the while defending yourself and your home. While this may appear simple, Project Mollicutes gets all the more excited once you are faced with hordes and hordes of zombies. Strategic thinking plays a crucial role in this indie FPS game.
