Consoles wars, a term I am sure many gamers are familiar with as it was the only thing many could talk about in the late 2010s, and while the online debate might have slowed down in recent years, its effect on gamers can still be felt today. As it resulted in the birth of either lifelong fans or haters, and the case of the Playstation Gen 8 console the PS4 the former was the case. Due to many reasons ranging from better games, lesser sale prices, and the ability to share game discs, it is no wonder why it dominated the 8th generation. The impact of the Persona series cannot be understated, as it has helped many people with its portal of self and ego. But that always wasn’t the case as before the release of the 3rd game in the series it was only known as the lighthearted spin-off of the SMT series and while that statement held merit, it would soon be proven wrong. The 3rd game introduced the series to the Western audience, the 4th popularized it in online gaming forms, and the 5th would go down in history as one of the most popular and successful games by its developer Atlus ever. Why you might ask? Simple it allowed you to roleplay as a delinquent Japanese student who the world and the system are against. Also, did I mention you get to rip off your mortal Persona and dawn the monicker of a phantom thief who steals the vile hearts of criminals? Well, forget about that part since the majority of the fanbase loves the socializing school aspect and not using your powers to kill the manifestation of the creator god. And in the community defense why would they care, it's not like gamers have been killing gods in games since the Final Fantasy days. So if you wish to witness this once-in-a-lifetime game then do give Persona 5 Royal a try.

Studio Ghibli is a name that needs no introduction as it is one of the most famous animation studios in the whole world. And with due reason as with films like Princess Mononoke and Howl’s Moving Castle, it has cemented itself as the best in the business. This is why when the studio announced that it would be making a game, players were hyped and after albeit a shaky start with the first game, it seems that the studio has found its rhythm and has made a game that in all aspects is the best action RPG on the PS4 right now. As in terms of gameplay, it forgoes any traditional battle system in favor of a more unique system inspired by fantasy tales, and with the iconic animation look of the game the combat system is truly brought to life. The story is a tale of bravery and courage, hardship and despair, the undying will of life, and the hope that shines at the end of the abyss. It is something that can only be done justice by experiencing it. So what are you waiting for go forth and lose yourself in this one-of-a-kind fantasy wonderland that is Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.

Now last on the list, we have a game from a series that has dominated the gaming industry for 2 decades now. With its ever-evolving story and the characters that have long since become cultural icons, Dragon Ball Z is a name known far and wide. And following the tradition from the 7th generation of consoles it seems that the 8th also has a game from the series that has not only topped sales charts but is also hailed as the best of its genre. Dragon Ball FighterZ is said game and it was developed by none other than the highly talented folks over at Arcs System Works. Which has given new life to the series and its iconic moments. It also happens to have an all-new storyline from Akira Toriyama himself, which ensures that the story will be nothing but the best, and Arcs at the helm of its gameplay development, is just overkill at this point. So if you wish to witness a PvP game like no other then give Dragon Ball FighterZ a try.
