Neetpia the developer also seems to be fully committed to not only making a simple re-skin of said old games, but also to adapt the wacky and whimsical nature of the Touhou series to the tactical nature of old-school RTS games. RTS has long since remained a genre that has seldom seen itself merged with other genres. Much of this is due to its tactical nature and the innate challenges faced when merging said nature with more action-orientated genres. But in the modern age, we finally have a few genres that form a perfect synergy with the RTS genre, one of these genres is Tower Defense. A prime example of the perfect unity between these two genres is Yokai Art: Survival Prologue. A game that is developed by Secret Labo and based on a generic story offers some of the most enjoyable gaming experiences in the RTS genre. Also instead of keeping and choosing certain mechanics, takes the untraveled road and merges the mechanics from both genres to create an unforgettable experience. Also, did I mention the game is perfect for low-end systems as it requires only a core i3 and a minimum of 512 mb VRAM to run it?
