To start we have a game that needs no introduction to any fan of the RTS genre in the 2010s, as the game is Star Maidens Chronicles. Which was developed by the dedicated people over at PROJECT YNP, as even in the darkest days of the RTS genre they did not abandon the game to move on to greener pastures. They took over 10 years to polish the game add more content and do their best to facilitate online play with well-balanced units. An effort that has netted the game and its developers a niche cult following. But even besides the development history, the game gives players a fantastic RTS experience, and with the advanced net code, players can easily hold matches over either WAN or LAN.  A crucial aspect of the game's longevity and continuous improvement. Age of Empires is a name that even non-gamers speak of with reverence as it is responsible for igniting the love of history and RTS games in the hearts of many. A feat few have been able to recreate or even follow through on. This is why when an indie studio like Neetpia decides to take the bullet hell magnum opus Touhou and merge it with the RTS mechanics of the Age of series the fans are hyped. And soon their hype was rewarded with the official announcement of The Touhou Empires. One of the few spin-offs of the famous series to not only introduce more players to it but also to see if the weird and wacky nature of Touhou can merge well with the often serious disposition of RTS games. A spin-off that the developers seem to have pulled off without a hitch as new gameplay footage shows how the game will stay faithful to both its source and inspiration. Now to conclude the list we have another Touhou spinoff, but rather than being developed by an indie developer, it is created by MyACG Studios. It also does not take inspiration from the RTS classics, rather it tries to differentiate itself from the rest of the crowd, by converting the core mechanics from the mainline games to RTS ones. While it may sound weird on paper, the developers somehow managed to pull it off, and not only that they were able to add a multiplayer aspect to the games which now allows for players to take control of massive armies and units to fight and decimate their foes. Fans of the mainline games can also easily pick and play the game as many of the characters and their signature moves have been adapted to give the game an authentic feel. So if you wish to witness the quirkiness of Touhou in a RTS then Touhou Big Big Battle is the game for you.
