Why One-Piece Bounty Rush Is a Must-Try Anime PvP Game
Figure 1: One Piece Bounty Rush

Fancy playing anime PvP games but don’t have your gaming PC with you? No worries then as One-Piece Bounty Rush is here to take your anime PvP gaming on the go!

When the top brains from Bandai Namco Entertainment, One Piece author, Eiichiro Oda, anime production studio, Toei Animation, and the manga publisher, Shueisha, work together, you get a one-of-a-kind mobile anime PvP game in the shape of One-Piece Bounty Rush.

Though not initially well-received, and by making the game go through long-term 10-month maintenance, One-Piece Bounty Rush has made a great comeback with tons of improvement and UI upgrades over its last version.

The PvP gameplay of One-Piece Bounty Rush is basically built on Capture-and-Hold gameplay model. The online gameplay consists of 4v4 matches of 3 minutes each.

There are a total of 5 treasures to capture in each game match. During the match, each team has to capture and hold a minimum of 3 of 5 treasures to score the victory. Furthermore, capturing and holding all of the 5 treasures for 15 consecutive seconds ensures an instant win.

The maps chosen to hold the online PvP game are selected from the iconic locations in the One-Piece franchise. In the match, players can assume one of the 3 key roles: Runner, Defender, and Attacker.

A runner’s job is basically to capture the treasures asap while Defenders are there to prevent the opponent team from taking hold of the captured treasures from them. Attackers, on the other hand, are tasked with attacking enemy players, potentially engaging them in battle and preventing them to make hurdles for their teammates.

Moreover, there are over 200 characters to play from in One-Piece Bounty Rush, and every player has his/her own set of common and unique abilities. This potentially gives anime PvP teams a large number of tactics and gameplay styles to adopt. Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Chopper, Sanji, Franky, and Nico are just a few of the amazing characters in the anime game roster to choose from.

Utilizing each of the character’s unique abilities to your battle preferences, you can form one of the strongest 4-member teams in this PvP game!

However, there are certain things to know before you try out One-Piece Bounty Rush. On the mobile phone, the game screen has an analog stick on the left side by default. And the attacks button set is placed on the right. When you click the common attack button, the enemy closest at hand will take the hit. Special abilities, depending upon their nature, hit one or all of the enemies at sight.

When an opponent is knocked over, you cannot continue on attacking it. The knocked-down opponents get an infinite shield for a few seconds until they are ready to fight again. No one really knows why Bandai Namco included this as a fighting mechanic.

But hey, even this can be utilized in your favor. When knocked over, using those few precious invincible seconds, one can quickly come up with a clever strategy to turn the game tables on the opponent team!

Moreover, during the PvP gameplay, you can even use your team boost, when it is ready, to break hell loose on your opponents. How you achieve all this eventually comes down to your gameplay style and coordination as a team.

Furthermore, characters can be upgraded in the game as well. Spending the bounty coins and battle points, you can farm and buy character fragments to upgrade your favorite characters in this anime PvP game.

One-Piece Bounty Rush features improved state-of-the-art graphics and a better user interface for its users. Unlike the likes of PUBG, Fortnite, and Garena FreeFire, One-Piece Bounty Rush does not require high-end mobile devices. Even on an average cell phone, the anime game is capable of delivering a top-notch PvP gaming experience to all its users.

On a side note, much like the LOL and StarCraft 2, anime PvP games, like One-Piece Bounty Rush, also hold the potential of esports. One needs to play these anime games in order to understand their esports potential.

As of now, the anime PvP game has over 10M+ downloads on the Google Play Store. It is now time to get ready to find and assemble a unique team from such a large active player base, and deliver such a coordinated team-showdown that your opponents would have trouble forgetting it!
