Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker is the latest in the long line of multiplayer battle games based on the popular Naruto franchise by a Japanese anime studio, Studio Pierrot. Most people have enjoyed the game, and its online community has been growing and thriving since it was first released in late September 2018.
That all changed with the recent release of a new patch for the game last week that has somehow managed to destroy the competitive aspect of one of gaming's most beloved series in record time! Let's take a look at what changed and why things have gone downhill so quickly with this patch update!



Game Balance
Many say that this latest patch for Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is going too far with game balance, and things will take a long time to return. For example, some people complain about how overpowered players in one-versus-one matches are by using hidden techniques like kawarimi and shunshin. Both methods allow you to go through your opponent's attack without taking any damage at all.
The match becomes very unbalanced when they keep doing it over and over again. Another thing many people were worried about was how strong Kakashi was when he used his ultimate technique - Chidori Senbonzakura Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. It's said that after the new patch is released, Kakashi can use this ultimate technique three times in just 10 seconds! People have also complained about Kakashi's passive ability, which makes him immune to jutsu from certain elements (Water, Lightning).

Skill Cap
In a recent update, Bandai Namco removed all Skill Caps from their game. This deliberate design decision had an adverse effect on the competitive scene. Removing Skill Caps in Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker made it easier for newcomers or casual players to pick up and enjoy. While this may have been a noble goal, it not only crippled competitive play but also made it significantly harder for veterans to stand out among new players. One former top player relayed his experience in a discussion group after the patch was released:
"I feel like I'm playing against babies now."
This sentiment is echoed by many who have played both before and after the release of the latest patch. Players who use characters such as Yamato who require precise aiming are now at a severe disadvantage due to no longer having Skill Cap handicaps. As one can imagine, specific mechanics -are much more powerful than others because they are unhindered by Skill Cap restrictions.



Changes in Cost
The changes in cost are what made this game unplayable. The way that you used to be able to out-build your opponent was by having a lower price. In this latest patch, they changed it so that high-cost cards like an Obito with high power and low cost would be worth just as much as a low-cost card with low energy.

Glitches and Broken Game Systems
The latest patch for Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker had a lot of glitches and game-breaking bugs. The developers have not fixed these problems and are now working on other parts of the game that they deem more important. These changes have made competitive gaming difficult as many players will find themselves unable to play a character due to random bugs.

The issue i kept having after the Temari DLC is that it bluescreened a lot...
Sometimes in lobby whenever I want to change something on my CaC/Co-op missions/etc.
Sometimes in-game during the middle of the match or just before it loads in
 
Normally this wasn't an issue before for me but I barely play the game due to that. Currently I am using a Physical Copy of the game, I have sold all duplicate outfits/items (excluding Event outfits which i only have 2 of that are the same).
I hope that they will eventually patch the issue of whatever it is (my theory is the game trying to load everything but is unable to) so this won't happen as much for players.
