5 Best Esports Games for Low-End PC 2024

Esports games today require the best and most up-to-date hardware, which is only affordable for some. Some players are looking for games that will be playable on low-end PCs, but games today require the latest hardware to run on pc. However, only a few esports games adhere to this trend because they can run on hardware from previous generations.

It can be helpful for players who want to get into competitive gaming with little prior experience or who have a low-end PC. They can now reach a wider audience as a result. These esports games have tournaments and larger prize pools. It can be an excellent incentive for those players who need help to step up their game and compete in top-tier tournaments.

We've selected the five best esports games for low-end systems, which are listed below.

OSU! is a free-to-play rhythm game that Dean "Peppy" Herbert develops. It is a popular Nintendo DS series simulator. The foundation of the gameplay is based on numerous famous commercial rhythm games. There are four official game modes: osu! Standard, osu! Mania, osu! Catch, and osu!

Osu! catch, formerly known as osu! Ctb, which stands for catch the beat, is a game mode in which you control a mini-character holding a plate and catch falling fruit to the beat. Osu! Mania is exceptional from the other modes in a sense; it contains several modes, and they refer to it as key modes.

Eternal Return

Figure 3-1. Eternal Return Black Survival

The multiplayer battle royale game Eternal Return was created by Nimble Neuron and released by Kakao Games on October 14, 2020, which is the date that the game was first released. Eternal Return is a one-of-a-kind multiplayer online survival arena that blends strategy, mechanics, and visually appealing characters.

Eternal Return features 5-versus-5 matches on three maps, with each team competing to complete objectives and defeat the opposing team. On an island, 18 players are randomly selected and placed in opposition. The map of Lumia Island is divided into 16 separate regions.

The Eternal Return game uses Battle Royale mechanics in place of the traditional closing circle, designating various parts of the map as restricted areas. Many playable characters are available, each with unique skills and abilities, similar to multiplayer online battle arena games. The group or team that survives the longest wins.

The minimum Pc requirements for playing Eternal Return are Microsoft Windows 10 (64Bit), Intel Core i3-3225, AMD FX-4350, 4 GB RAM, Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640, ATI Radeon HD 7700, DirectX: Version 11.

Onmyoji Arena

MOBA is a genre that has slowly but surely carved out a niche for itself in the gaming landscape as it now dominates the top leaderboards of esports. With games such as League of Legends and Dota 2, it's no wonder why many players gravitate towards the genre. But a major flaw that has revealed itself in recent years is the bare minimum needed to run the game. Let me elaborate when these games came out they were heavily restricted by the hardware available but with every new advancement, the games were updated which has now made it impossible for many players to enjoy these games. A problem that seems to be precisely tackled by NetEase Games' new MOBA Onmyoji Arena, which is a new take on the old folk tales of Japan and their fusion with the fast-paced action of the MOBA genre. It features all-new characters and brand-new designs that evoke a feeling of wonder and awe in the players.

A key point related to the game is that it is a mobile-only game meaning it can only be played on Android and iOS. But do not fret as with recent technological advancements it is now possible to play the game on the BlueStacks Android emulator. A feat I can attest to personally as I have tested and played the game on said emulator. Further, we have also tested said game via the emulator on the Steam Deck. Yes, you heard me right, by manually installing Windows on the Steam Deck and later the BlueStacks emulator we were able to get the game running. Moreover, Onmyoji Arean manages to maintain a solid FPS of 60 and only drops down to the low 50s in certain areas on the Steam Deck. System Specs are also not an issue as the most that you will need is a 3rd to 4th Gen Intel or AMD equivalent processor, 4 GB of RAM, 5 GB of storage space, any Windows from 7 and beyond, and integrated graphics such as the Intel HD 620. All of which are easily outclassed by the Steam Deck specs. The game is also famous for having its dedicated esports league by the name of Onmyoji Arena Pro League, which held a massive esports tournament in spring with a cash prize of $89,679. All in all Onmyoji Arena is the best low-end MOBA for PC on the market right now.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel

Card collectors and card battlers are a genre of games that have existed in some way, shape, or form since the early 2000s. But it wasn’t until the late 2010s did we got to see the true potential of said games as many indie developers combined them with deck builders to make some of the most iconic games of their time. And one series that was poised to take full advantage of its success was none other than Konami’s very own Yu-Gi-Oh! While for many the series might have lost the cultural war against Pokemon it was still regarded with much nostalgia, and said nostalgia is what the developers of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel used to make the game one of the most-played games on Steam. But Master Duel is much more than a simple nostalgic cash grab, as the game perfectly embodies the spirit of the series and gives players all of the cards from the start of the series to collect and battle with.

Another major focus of the developers it seemed was to ensure that even the most low-end spec PCs could run the game at a locked 60 FPS. A feat that with modern innovation seems foreign to game developers, as the factors that affect the FPS are numerous. But despite all odds, the developers of the game were able to ensure the game required at the base minimum an Intel HD Graphics 620. One of if not the oldest running integrated graphics that people can still get their hands on. It also was achieved without the loss of quality and art direction, as the game with all of its effects and graphics feels like a modern AAA card game. Graphics aren't the only low specs needed as the game also works wonderfully on any of Intel's 2nd gen processors and their AMD equivalent. All of this also works wonders for the esports aspect of the game as the low requirements ensure all players have a level playing field. Master Duel also holds frequent online and offline esports tournaments for players to join and get a chance to win rare cards and even $500 in cash. So what are you waiting for games like Master Duel only appear once in a lifetime.
