Team Shark and Team Asher Rising Stars of Eternal Return Esports.

The world of esports is one of the fastest evolving industries out there, and with its rise, it is bringing gaming to the mainstream. This is a fantastic prospect for gamers of old, because now their beloved hobby has started to be recognized worldwide. But with this, we also need to acknowledge the fact that esports is quite selective of the genre and games it brings to stardom. Now much of this can be attributed to the nature of the game but, the fact still stands that FPS and fighting games have a monopoly on the esports market around the world. This is exactly why when a fusion game was created and released in early access by a relatively unknown developer from Korea no one took notice. But now that the game has fully released and with multiple tournaments under its belt, it is poised to take the esports world by storm. Leading said the charge will be the two most influential and skilled teams currently in the game, Team Shark and Team Asher respectively.

Eternal Return despite being new to the esports scene has seemingly taken over the Asian competitive scene by storm, as we are seeing a massive rise in the number of players going pro in the game. All of this is solely due to the hard work of the developers Nimble Neuron as they have crafted one of the most highly competitive and enjoyable games on the market, which requires team composition and unity to be on point for high-level play. A fact teams like Asher and Shark have mastered completely.
Many of you who follow the competitive meta of the game might be familiar with both teams. As Team Asher is the previous winner of the Eternal Return Season 1 Final, and it is no small feat as due to the age of the game only the top of the top that have already proven themselves can even partake in such tournaments. Team Asher consists of Noguri (main is Rozzi), gwork (main is Adela), Narvic (main is Jenny), and Soobak (main is Alex). Together they form a strong attack force and rely mostly on quick guerrilla-style attacks to weaken the opponent team for the final strike. Asher also likes to play a bit defensively regarding the checkpoints and the rest areas. With these strategies, they were able to easily defeat any competition they had in Season 1. But with the release of Season 2, we have seen many small changes to the systems that have facilitated a whole new meta, which in turn led to the rise of Team Shark in the most recent Masters Tournament.

Team Shark consists of Mangnani (main is Bianca), RIOORI (main is Adriana), ing9 (main is Felix), and lastly Bible (main is Laura). Shark is a sort of jack of all trades as they have utilized the new meta to form a team. One which is capable of handling multiple different scenarios at the drop of the hat. And with the insane skill of the players, they are the first that have managed to pull off a win via this method. Said win was at the ER Masters for Season 2 and they have also qualified for the Busan Esports Global Showmatch. An event that will not only host the best of the best Korean teams but will also have the North American players in attendance to determine which player base is better. You can watch the videos of Busan Esports Global Showmatch at Eternal Return Official Youtube channel.
All in all, it seems that the pro teams Asher and Shark are on their way to making a splash in the esports world like none other. This is a possibility that comes close to reality as Eternal Return starts to gain mainstream recognition and the fact major companies from Korea have now started to invest in Eternal Return might hint at the evolution of Team Asher and Shark from single-game players to multi-media companies such as Team Liquid and Faze Clan. Alas in the end only time will tell, but one thing is for certain League of Legends days at the top are numbered.
