Times have changed since the early 1990’s when we could only get video games on consoles or overpriced computers. Nowadays, the biggest gaming market is android or smartphone gaming. It allows anyone anywhere to play any game they want. This has led many to cash into this market, it started with basic games, but with the advancement in the users and technology, now significant companies are bringing their fan machines to the mobile so many more people can enjoy them. This also includes licensed anime games such as the ones mentioned below.

Pokemon is a series that has become a household name for years now, and with the massive success of Pokemon Go, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that there would be a new Pokemon mobile game. Pokemon Masters EX is that game. It is the most faithful recreation of the core Pokemon system in a mobile game ever. It takes the player on the story to battle multiple trainers and characters from the anime and game series alongside Rose. Each character has only one iconic Pokemon they can use in the modernized battling system. You will also encounter the series staple, an evil team that will try and stops you at every turn.

Combat is the most significant change from the series turn-based one and a need one. Now you will have an active system, meaning depending on the speed stat of your Pokemon, you will be able to will an action bar and then use that to execute moves and special moves. Each Pokemon has two activities and one item move. You will also battle in 3v3 battles, allowing much greater room to create harmony among your attacks. As a pokemon battle, they can level up and evolve, giving them either a move change or a particular move. This allows the fighting to be the center stage rather than the han IV and EV of the Pokemon. It is an excellent evolution of the series, which everyone has been wanting, and with it being free and on mobile many more players can enjoy it.

Fate is a series known for its long story arcs and a complete reimagining of historical events and heroes. But for a long time, these stories were kept in book format, but with the release of Fate Grand Order, you can now play through many of the series' events the original creator imagined. Fate Grand Order allows you to be a summoner and play through many of the historical wars and play a crucial role in them. You use your summoned servants to fight and defeat the monsters and opposing servants. The servants are another major draw of the game as it has unique servants and characters which have not appeared before in the anime series, such as Nero, Gaius Julius Caesar, and Solomon (Grand Caster), to name a few. This allows players to create unique team comps and fight with challenging bosses with various strategies.

The plot and the narratives are where this game shines; you play as the member of a particular organization whose responsibility is to go into time warps and make sure the events play out as usual. This leads to some of the most outlandish timeline splits, leaving fate and history fans bamboozled. You travel from the olden age of mythical heroes to as recent as the gallic wars, which defined the fate of Europe. It is a mobile RPG with one of the best world-building ever and a must-play for anime and fate fans.

“BANKAI” is an iconic verse in the anime community. Many had given up hope on getting a continuation of Bleach, but now with the final war arc being animated, what better way to fill the time in between episodes than by playing Bleach Mobile 3D to not only reach up to the story while fighting your way through the many villains of the series. Bleach Mobile 3D re-tells Ichigo’s complete story while allowing us to control him in 3D environments and fight all the hollows. With the beautiful art style, music, and focus on the main story, it is the best way to enjoy the complete story of Bleach.

The combat is the Dynasty warrior’s style hack and slash, which suits the series perfectly. You can control 3 team members and change between them to chain combos and use skills to deal massive damage. Talents are unique to each character and are based on the moves from the series. You can use the gacha mechanic to get more characters to play as and feed them exp orbs to level them up. You can also activate Bankai in some of the higher-tier characters. It is a fun and enjoyable game that bleach fans will undoubtedly enjoy.

Mobile games, for many, have always been a quick cash grab, they might have a unique mechanic, but they’re all the same in the end. The fans also thought the Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross was like this, but it destroyed all the expectations when the game was released. The one word that comes to mind regarding Grand Cross is that it has a soul. It feels great to play, the story of the game story tells the plot of the anime all over again, but it has brand-new animated cutscenes and a beautiful art style more in line with the manga. The game is also fully 3D when exploring the dungeons doing story missions or in combat. You can collect all the characters from the series, use their combat abilities, and change or customize their clothes and accessories.

The combat is a fluid turn-based system that uses cards for attack and support. You can use up to three active party members and one sub to boost your party. Each character can execute a specific attack that can be countered or blocked. This makes it so that you must make your team accordingly and use the right spells at the right time. Special attacks are also present and taken straight from the anime, and when you pull one off, the whole screen plays an extraordinary animation of the attack. These little things show that the game was designed for the fans by the fans. It has set the bar high for anime games on android and iOS.

The term “make everything anime” has been on the internet for a long time and has been memed to oblivion, so it was surprising that when developers Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi came and did it to WWII battleships, everyone was caught off guard. Azur Lane follows you, the bridge commander, as you use different battleships in the bullet hell arena to defeat your foes. There is just one thing other than all the battleships are beautifully drawn anime girls and waifus. The combat has three parts: the main one is bullet hell, where you move around a 2D map, dogging bullets and enemies while blasting them back. The second more minor part is the battleship formation which adds a depth of strategy to the game; the final piece is the map exploration.

The game is primarily 2D with a splash of 3D literality with the water particles. The main art style while in gun mode is a cute chibi with a massive appeal. But the main stars are the girls' splash screens when you get them, which are the perfect blend of the game characteristics and characters. It also keeps the tradition of bullet hell with a fantastic soundtrack and battle theme. It is a solid game that anime fans will undoubtedly enjoy.
